Plaid was all over. It showed up in the form of blazers, shirts, shirts around the waste, pants, jackets, and dresses. Every hipsters dream wardrobe, I say!

We're breaking down the trends from NYFW's 2011 Fall RTW as it came to a close yesterday. First up are the pastels, beiges, and overall lightness from the collections. Many looks from this trend were featured in furs and trousers. I'm obsessing over the Rodarte ones.

A few looks from the Tibi collection. The pink hats are trés adorable and added a lightness to the Fall collection. Watch out for red pieces like the 3rd look all over the place in other collections at NYFW.

The 70's theme was still alive and kicking at Marc by Marc as he continues the trend from last season. Over at Marc Jacobs, metallics and polka dots reigned supreme.

Boy, the Row stepped up their dramatic game big time for their Fall 2011 RTW collection. Luxurious furs (the hat!), sequins, lace, leopard, and leather. It's like a nomadic dominatrix during a Russian winter.

With all the collections coming out of New York right now, I have been collecting images over the past few days of the best looks from all the designers. I decided to kick things off with my favorite one so far that had a number of the major trends circulating around NYC. It's Jason Wu, of course. The lace, feather plumage, electric blues, and whites are what to look out for.

Other trends and looks I just plain old loved are locked and loaded for your viewing pleasure. An influx will start pouring in. Hold your breath.

Rihanna in Jean Paul Gaultier at the Grammy Awards. I love that show because you can show up in gowns like this and get away with it.

And I have been tirelessly looking through all the collections from NYFW for Fall 2011 RTW. I'll start off the day tomorrow with looks from my favorite show so far - Jason Wu. The rest of the best will follow.

Lady Gaga's cover and spread for the latest issue of Vogue. I think it was a bit of a risky move putting Lady G on the cover and even more risky putting her in the "wearable" fashion they did. It's so fresh to see her like this, even in some of those major McQueen gowns. We still had some old Gaga with her Alejandro-like makeup and hair though. You can take the girl out of the wack, but you can't take the wack out of the girl. Ya dig? I do.
