Probably the biggest color trend out of NYFW - white (or versions of it). It was done up in the sheer, draping, and frilly trends, but also in more masculine looks like the sexy suits. The designers got many miles out of white for Spring 2012 RTW hoping you all will too come March.

Kick Off

Finally starting things off from NYFW Spring 2012 RTW with looks from the Rodarte collection. Just a sneak at some of the trends for next spring straight off the runway. We're looking at pastels, bold colors (canary yellows, teals, lime greens), femininity overload, sheer fabrics, draping, and embellishments. You know, just to name a few from only one collection. The seriously gorgeous Amber Heard in a makeup tutorial for In Style September 2011. I'm always down for a simple yet interesting black liner. I never really go all out with my eyes unless I'm in the mood to create some Edie Sedgwick Sixties looks (which is generally on Halloween when I've run out of costume ideas), so I love this. I will definitely test 'em out.

Nymph

Gaga for the October 2011 issue of Harper's Bazaar in the Nymph look from her Yoü & I video. This is Bazaar's first printed black & white cover in 20 years. Gaga wears a custom Hussein Chalayan dress (you can see it in full in the official video & the special one below). I love all things Gaga and even I can admit her Jo Calderone act at the VMAs fell a little flat, but I enjoy this Gaga - minimal, beautiful, and intriguing.

Fresh As A Daisy
