I have to say, I really didn't like 87% of the looks at the SAG Awards last night. Some of these ladies better step their games up for the Oscars because I'm trés bored. These 6 looks are the ones I liked/loved a little. I'd have to say Mila Kunis was my favorite of the night because it was easy, breezy, and beautiful.

Alexander McQueen S/S RTW 2011

Elie Saab Spring 2011 Couture

I like to pretend what I'd wear if I were attending the Golden Globes or the Oscars. I chose the Alexander McQueen dress whilst watching the Globes this year as my dress. Funny enough, Rachel Zoe also chose it as her dream awards show dress she wished a client would wear in the latest issue of W. My Oscars dress is the black Saab gown. I didn't choose it specially based on the color, but I loved that it would be a black/white affair for me. A girl can dream...

Valentino's Spring 2011 Couture show reminds me of the cool sister to Elie Saab's collection. You know, the one who's a bit off, but looks like a perfect doll all of the time. Think Margot Tenenbaum. Or Courtney Love circa the Nineties (except way more polished). The collection was still red carpet worthy, but slightly laid back. I dig it.

There was a total sense of Punk 77 meets the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo at Jean Paul Gaultier and his Spring 2011 Couture show. This was not a huge surprise considering JPG's Joan Jett-inspired S/S 2011 RTW collection. Give me a girl in a mohawk with a shredded gown, too much tulle popping out, or jailhouse stripes and I'm there. I like the way you think, Gaultier.

Nothing profoundly new to report over at Elie Saab's Couture Spring 2011 show. Aside from the fact that it remained gorgeous and overtly feminine. These are perfect Oscar gowns. For real.

Givenchy's Couture collection for Spring 2011. I always appreciate the photos from the front and the back of the gowns. One design house that always remains consistent in detail, but always shakes their silhouettes and fabrics up. We departed from their metal hardware and sequins from Fall 2010 Couture to neon colors and origami lines. I'm also waiting for some of these to sprout wings and take off.

Salivating over the Chanel Couture Spring 2011 collection. It's all so ladylike with a dose of rebellion due to the splash of blacks, the sheer fabrics, and the slouchy fit of most of the dresses.
