Best Dressed
Mila Kunis in Elie Saab, romantic and daring at the same time
Runner Up
Reese Witherspoon in Armani Privé, the hair, makeup, and dress fit her PERFECTLY
Best of the Rest
Michelle Williams in Chanel, my little pixie who is never fussy but always on-point
Sandra Bullock in Vera Wang, red was the color of the night and this was the best of the trend
Halle Berry in Marchesa, I mean...gorgeous beyond words
The Rest
Anne Hathaway in Valentino, the hostess with mostess
Cate Blanchett in Givenchy, the structure of the gown works on only someone like her
Florence Welch in Valentino, ethereal ginger goddess
Gwyneth Paltrow in Calvin Klein, modern and sleek
Hailee Steinfeld in Marchesa, age appropriate and darling
Helena Bonham Carter in Colleen Atwood, never question her
Hilary Swank in Gucci, movie star perfection of sequins and feathers
Melissa Leo in Marc Bouwer, fit her style perfectly
Natalie Portman in Rodarte, Best Actress with the Best Baby Bump
Scarlett Johansson in Dolce & Gabbana, the back was beautiful and she looked relaxed in it
The Worst
Amy Adams in L'Wren Scott, the cap-sleeve and necklace aren't doing you any favors
Jennifer Hudson in Versace, your boobs seem sad
Jennifer Lawrence in Calvin Klein, entirely inappropriate for a Best Actress nominee
Mandy Moore in Monique Lhuillier, one big ball of tulle and sequined mess
Nicole Kidman in Christian Dior, the bottom just didn't fit her right and was just plain boring
The Absolute Worst
Marisa Tomei in Charles James, two dresses were cut and pasted together all sorts of wrong
Red was the It Color followed by barely-there shades of pinks, silvers, golds, and nudes that were frequently adorned with sequins. It doesn't mean it all worked out though. Mila Kunis nailed it in the Elie Saab gown. I always feel Saab was made for the Oscars. I was surprised no one wore Alexander McQueen, but I was not let down. In fact, Reese Witherspoon shocked me and should stay in her Mad Men look all the time. How about the 34975345 wardrobe changes Anne Hathaway had during the show. I loved the blue Armani Privé she was working. Well, Awards Season has come to an official end and I always get a teeny bit sad. I'm still working away on the Milan Fashion Week collections. Back to regular life tomorrow!
